Abstract stream of computer-generated numbers

Random Number Generator

Set your range, choose how many numbers you need, and generate. Built for statistics simulations — works anywhere.

How to use this in a simulation

Assign numbers to outcomes

Decide which numbers represent which outcomes. For example, if a free throw is made 70% of the time, assign 1–7 to "made" and 8–10 to "missed."

Set your range and count

Enter the min and max that match your outcome assignment. Set the count to the number of trials you want to simulate.

Generate and read your results

Each number maps back to an outcome. Count how many fall in each category to estimate the probability of your event.

Repeat for accuracy

Run multiple trials and average your results. The more trials you run, the closer your estimate gets to the true probability.
